I am back from my road trip, saw parts of the state I hadn't seen before... and I did get some fabric.
I am still trying to limit my fabric purchases, but into each life some fabric must come! Not too bad a haul, some fat quarters in my (allowed purchases) black/white/gray, plus a couple of "dragon hoard" in orange-ish and gold embellishments, and 1 bowling fabric. Oh, and half a yard of Minions fabric -- for whatever reasons I love me my minions. I have a small collection of bowling and favorite things fabric in honor of the hubby, on the road trip last week I got the idea of using an altered version of this free pattern linked below. I want the length of the shirts longer, I might change the sleeves slightly, and some will be pieced to give more of the bowling shirt look. I really like the dimensional collars, and use of the reverse side of the fabric for the V neck piece.
