Loisf, the couple asked for purple and yellow so that's what I did. Used up a lot of scraps, fat quarters and yardage on this one as its queen size. They received it yesterday after church. Their son got the white, purple blue lap quilt for his own.

I ask what the recipents want for colors, style and size as I made a mistake years ago making a bed size quilt for a gal and she complained that she'd rather have a lap quilt. Got my feelings hurt with her comment but it taught me a lesson to ask before I do something and now folks seem to be much happier.

I have an UFO Cathedral Window queen size quilt top and I was able to find someone that wants it for now I can go ahead and quilt it and given it away as a gift. Also eliminates one more off my list for the church quilts. That's leaves me only 2 over size lap quilts to make and I'll be done with everyone in my church having a quilt from me. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel after all these years as I took 2 years off as I lost my mojo for any thing sewing/quilting and just got back to it this year. So far I've made and or finished 11 quilts this year with a goal of finishing 4 more queen size quilts before the end is done.
