I am fortunate to have both an apartment placed washer & dryer included with my rent . I was looking at the dryer settings when I first moved in and the one setting (and the only one I use) is called "optimum dry". I tried it to see what would be the outcome and it shut off when my clothes were (and always are) dry.
The maintenance guy told me it is the best setting when the machine has it as the internal thermometer will shut down the dryer automatically.
