I finished one more block late last evening. Found it in my file of 12" blocks and just started cutting and stitching..... wait, stop, oh well, it is nothing more that a variation of the block I made for TG. Really now, it is just all about showing off the focus fabric anyway. Right? interesting how changing up the fabric and a tweak to the corners makes the block look so different.
So for SusieQOH, here is your garden of roses with pink accents.
Great block

Report on on pumpkin bread: terrific, flavorful and moist. I seldom make anything that comes in a large batch but this one is worth it. It makes two large loafs and an additional small loaf. I added chocolate chips to one pan, walnuts to the other and left the small loaf plain. All three were eaten with good comments and seconds for many.
I am thinking of repeating the recipe during the holiday season in small pans as little tasty gifts for my neighbors. Guessing I can get 6 or 7 loafs. Recipe link:

Thank you for the recipe, I will try this. Beautiful block for SBG

Thanks also for the pumpkin bread recipe. Gotta try that.
Here is one last block tonight, for Nelco. I love contributing to a Quilt of Valor!

Wowzers your fabric looks pink and the turquoise looks like summer blue. Boo hoo, now you will have to wait to see the real colors. I will try again in natural light in the morning. That may be better.
great block for TG

Janice, if I traveled to NC it would be to hang out with you. I have enough fabric to last 9 lives!!!!!!!!!

What a nice offer though.
Lovely blocks, everyone!
Terri- I wouldn't wish panic attacks on anyone. They are horrible. Janice is right about recovery not being linear. Our minds are so complex. Sometimes I wish that wasn't so.

I see I’ve fallen behind in posts. I’ll catch up with the gallery today. Lovely blocks, one and all.
Any Boomers want to take a drive to WNC for some fabric? As most of you know, I’m helping a friend dispose of his wife’s stash. Until yesterday it was scraps and patterns. Now I’ve got three large laundry baskets full of gorgeous fabric and this is just the tip of the iceberg that’s floating my way. I’m in awe, and not in a good way. It makes me terribly sad, having all this because his wife is so ill and unable to quilt anymore. I’m going to take the vast majority to the Quilt Guild but I don’t relish seeing all this picked over but it’s necessary. Anyway, I’ll do the best I can to find it new homes.
Have a lovely day, Boomers.
I wish I lived nearby, not that I need any more fabric because I don't. I love going thru all the lovely fabric

One more block to go!
Thank you for my block, it is great. I love it.

WMUTeach, congrats on finishing your blocks and quickly locating the missing packages. Woo hoo!
Tomorrow I walk a 5k at the airport. You can plane watch while walking. I’ve done it twice before but this is the first time post knee surgery. Hope the knee holds up or I’ll be waving down the guy with the cart to take me off the field. Now that would be embarrassing! I wonder about the passengers on the planes and what they think seeing 1000 people walking on the adjacent runway.
Have a good day.
Good luck on your walk. I think I would love walking in the airport where i could see the planes too

SusieQ I know nothing about liver enzymes but I can tell you after 3 years of on and off pain when they finally decided to remove my gallbladder in an emergency surgery it was wonderful. Can’t believe how much better I felt overall
We drove about an hour to checkout the Grace breeze frame. The gal there has to find out more info for me to verify it will work with my sweet 16 but the Grace powers to be are at quilt mart in Houston this week, we have to wait a little longer for all the info.
Janice good luck with your knee tomorrow
I have the grace breeze frame and I use my Juki TL2000. I love it. It is perfect for someone with a small space.
This was a long week. My FNL is out of the nursing home and back in his home where he is much more comfortable. The dr did mention putting him on hospice. The Dr. explained that he would qualify for many more services, it doesn't necessarily mean he is dying. He could stay in hospice for up to a year. After the nurse came today, they ordered him a hospital bed, a raised height toilet seat, nursing care once a week and a home health aide to come in once a day for five days a week. The aide will be there for about an hour, to help with bathing and meals. I have 10 blocks to finish, hoping to get some sewing in over the weekend as we are supposed to get rain.
