Back from the walk and survived it. That’s the good news. The bad news is that I did too much walking pre-5K - over a mile - and my knee started swelling half way through. I ended up turning off the course only about 1500 feet from the end. I was disappointed at first but then realized I actually walked farther than the course itself. I’m turning it into a personal win. lol. It was fun. Close up to all the aircraft during takeoffs and landings! The grands and their parents were there with us so it was a good morning for all.
Today is a football and MotoGP day so lots of reason to relax on the couch. I’ve begun hand quilting a “Welcome” piece for the front door. ( It’s out of the weather in a vestibule so it won’t get hit by the elements.) It’s one my quilter friend started and never finished. She appliquéd the letters and stopped. I hope to finish all but the binding this weekend. (I machine baste and pull the stitches as I hand quilting it. That’s why you might notice the curved machine sewn lines.)
