I spoke to quality control at Hobb's today, and they were wonderful. They checked the date on my packaging and stated that the batting was close to a year old, and that possibly that was why it was so ridged and wrinkled. They do not sell to Amazon; a third party vendor sent the package through Amazon, which I can confirm. They offered to send me forms to fill out to get a new piece, but it sounds easier to just return it to Amazon. I will then order from Linda's Electric Quilters, where I have gotten Hobb's Tuscany Wool before. This was Hobb's Heirloom Premium Wool. Lesson learned. I have only good things to say about Hobb's customer service.
