I make a fig cake that is good to eat while drinking coffee. I used figs I have canned. I also can them with strawberry jello and that;s good. Our son-in-law eats the canned brown (not strawberry ) figs, with his cornbread, after he finishes his meal. He has others of us trying it too.-lol My sister and I both like raw figs. A friend of ours used to let us pick figs from his tree, it produced so maky. When my sister was down and figs were ripe, she would tell me to ask my friend if we could go 'graze' at their tree. I told her we weren't cows!-lol
