I've been describing myself as a "stem" (science, technology, engineering, math) quilter lately. I've always loved the quilt math and playing with squares and triangles.
I think my real power is being able to see potential, you can hand me a sack of fabrics and I can make something pretty darn nice out of whatever it is. Taking it one step further, I describe myself as a scrappy quilter, but my super power is being able to put together collections of fabrics which connect in theme (music, sports, whatever) but not necessarily in color or design into something coherent.
I have a real skill of being able to kit together fabrics, along with a pattern idea. Can do that all day long, just not enough hours in the day for me to do them all myself...
