Here's an idea that a couple of local businesses have hatched. They are hosting a craft supply exchange. Donations are dropped off ahead of time and if a person donates, they become a VIP. On swap day, VIPs have an hour first thing in the morning, and then the swap is open for 5 hours. There is an admission cost of $10 which then covers what is taken away. What a great opportunity to exchange supplies for a craft you no longer do, such as painting, beading, macrame, or whatever for supplies that fit your current interests. Not a place to "dump junk" but clear out space housing the past.

I can see libraries hosting something like this as well as businesses. I think it's a great idea. The admission and any donations will support the local Santa's Anonymous program. Win-win.
