I come from a large family of all boys (except for myself) with birthdays close on the heels of one another. Some of us share some gene that makes turkey undigestible, or at least everyone in the vicinity will believe it is rotting rather than digesting. Family game nights following holiday turkey dinners became peppered with rude comments, especially when many of us were in those teen years. I don't know why this post triggered this memory but there it is and now I'm wondering if others suffer the same affliction. Turkey is a meat I've learned to avoid or eat in small quantities and since it's just two of us eating we no longer indulge in a whole turkey meal. However, I do love a turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce in it and there's just no substitute without making the meal.
