I store my rulers on a triangular, dormer wall. I just use screws to hold them. Screws don't allow the rulers to slip and are sturdier than nails. This setup works great for me. My wall is next to a window, but it is north facing and I have never had any trouble with warping. I think that it is good use of an otherwise empty space.
