Hello all -- This is a plug for the 2026 Birthday candy swap! for anyone who has lots of little scraps and a bit of time. On the Member Swap and Round Robin section of Quiltingboard Forums there's a sign up with directions. This is a fun way to swap 2.5-inch squares from your stash or scraps with others, and lasts all year. Each month you send 2.5-inch squares ("candies") to a participant (or participants) on their birthday, then on your birthday month you receive candies and birthday wishes from the other participants. I joined this swap on a whim on my actual birthday 2 years ago and it's been so much fun to send and receive surprises in the mail, and to see what others have been doing with the squares.
Admittedly, the swap doesn't help you get rid of scraps. I have more 2.5-inch squares than I started with due to overcutting
But it's fun to see what others are in to, and get a tiny infusion of new colors and designs.
