Superior's site states that monopoly is heat safe to dryer and medium iron temperatures. Another page on their site states that poly thread melts at 480 degrees F.
It should be OK for a potholder for most things, but not when taking something out of the broiler or baked/roasted at high temperatures (like artisan bread baked in a Dutch oven at 450 - that would be getting close).
