Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! It's a quiet Christmas here, just hubby and me, and he's currently sleeping. I made a hearty beef stew in the instapot and a pumpkin pie. I picked up some homemade sourdough rolls at a local market last weekend. So that's all the cooking/baking I'm doing, and it's done!

I gifted myself a new ironing board cover, and was just trying it out. Not so good news is that when I removed the old cover, the metal frame was a bit rusted. Rather than purchase a new board, I'll sand the rusty spots and spray paint a new surface. For now, the old cover stays on so that the rustiness doesn't come through to the new cover. My husband says to just buy a new one, but hey, I'd rather use those funds for fabric or quilty items!!

I finished Clue 5 this morning, posting a pic of some here. There's just a few that I wasn't quite happy with the quality of my sewing. The fabric hump in the center joints made my seam line a bit wobbly. So those few will have a small un-stich and re-do. After that I'm ready for the next clue. Again, hoping for the return of blue. The rest of my day includes spray basting a quilt out on my patio. It's a lovely 78 degrees out and I intend to enjoy it!
