SueZQ, I use small plastic bowls labeled with the CS symbol to hold the squares(pixels). When the bowl gets empty, I cut 4 more strips to use my new stripology ruler to make the pixels. I use a design board to build 10 rows of 10 pixels for each block. I assemble each column then join those. I look for patterns that are 100x100 stitches in size, but slightly larger will work. Multiply by 0.75 equals 75"x75" more or less. Here's a pic of the design wall in progress. Notice the clips at the bottom to identify.
I quilt them myself on a new sit down longarm. Meander all over. Finally decided to use white thread even though I was worried about all the dark blue. Only broke 3 needles. One literally got imbedded in the template. I learned to take frequent breaks!
