@pinkflowers I think green instead of blue for the sashing pieces would be lovely. I think I would try for the same light/dark value as the blues in the QST from Part One, but they are far enough apart that they don't connect so it doesn't really matter.
One of the odd sub-design things I see in my reverse background is a black tulip -- you can see it pretty easily in the 4 block pictures. I've been playing with mental ideas where the the sashing is a green stem to that tulip shape... but I don't really see the tulip at all with a light background.
If I do the sparkle fairy version of this project, I would be using the light iridescent blue I loved from the begining for all the sashing. I know the piece wasn't big enough for Bonnie's requirements but I think I have enough for the inner border as well as the sashing, but not enough for those QST squares and would use a different fabric there.
