I changed my mind and decided to work on some of the Lupine Star block sections.

I have determined yes, I am just happier with switching the center of the sashing to gray. Some of that is simply because some of my fabrics included as Black and White, were too much white.

I still have a day or so decide on which gray as I work on the blocks. In the picture, I have a medium gray that had been in the wrong tote and got missed for this project which is the background for the top two rows, and the darker charcoal that was my first thought on the bottom two. Again, just because of the amount I have, the charcoal brick walkway that can be used for squares, inner border, binding and back has a really strong argument.

But once I see the blocks together especially with the border units, I may decide to do a different inner border. The gray and white is still possible, the Kaffe is still in the running. Isn't that such a great piece? When I saw it, I told Barb I think I need some of this, and she said you want the whole thing?? and I said no... I only need a small piece but I still took more than I needed, which is why it is available for the inner border.

edit: I see now one of my lupin block halves is upside down in the picture -- better to find out now than when it is sewn!!
