Hello I'm new to the forum.
@AlZilla recommended I join.
Two months ago, I only owned two domestic machines: a Singer 27 that I took apart as much as I could for education (never could get the arm shaft out, it was pinned and ground) and a Singer 66 that somebody inherited and passed my way. The singer 27 still needs a motor and a skirt (what do you call those mini wooden frames so you can set it on a kitchen table?) and a new home. But the Singer 66, a relative came over and fell in love with it after I had it mostly working, and two weeks later she took it home to make a quilt out of her dad's T-shirt collection.
The portability really struck a chord with me, having a machine that can be easily
given away and transported home in the passenger seat of an automobile.

So in the next week I trolled marketplace and bought five more domestic machines, for a grand total of $175.
- Singer 101 w/table
- Singer 257 w/enclosure
- Singer 252 w/enclosure
- Singer ??? w/enclosure
- Montgomery Ward R103 w/table
The first two I've got apart in the basement, making friends with them.
Anyway, that's my official hello, which I usually
shy away from but here's to trying something new 🤷
