Hello Everyone! I have been away from the Quilting Board (and, frankly, from quilting) for a long while (years) but want to get back into the swing of things, and this seems an excellent place to start
My list of UFOs is likely exactly the same list I posted in my New Year's Resolutions on here in about 2021 or 2022 - life kind of intervened, so I don't think there has been any progress since then - but I do still want to finish all of them so, my list is...
1. Puffins Aloft (2021) - need to prep both the top and backing for longarming, and then actually send out for longarming
2. Cream & Green sampler (2011 - not a typo) - need to prep top and backing for longarming, and then send out for longarming
3. Harvest Gatherings (2022) - prep top and backing for longarming, then send out for longarming (anyone noticing a pattern here? Lol)
4. Sylvia's Bridal Sampler - finish putting on border (half done), then prep top and backing for longarming, and send out
5. Pumpkins & Cats table runner (2021) - finish hand quilting (this is the nearest to completion, as I only have 1.5 borders to finish quilting and then it is done - but it has been stuck at that point for... a long time)
6. Penguins BOM (2020) - figure out backing, then prep it and top for first ever custom longarming and send out
7. Brackman Civil War BOM (2013) - re-baste (assuming this needs to be re-done since it has sat for probably... a decade?), then attempt to quilt on my DSM
8. Lone Star (started 1999-ish, finished piecing top 2016) - prep top and backing for longarming, and send out to be done - I am a bit anxious about sending this one out, since it is a mix of hand sewn and machine sewn, completed over multiple years, and my skill level throughout... varies. But it is far too big for me to attempt to do myself, so there is going to come a point where I just have to cross everything and hope it works out.
I had a big push around 2020 where I finished off quite a lot of my older projects, but then have fallen off with actually completing all things I started after that point. And of course I have a lot of new projects I would love to start...
Congratulations to those who have already managed to make solid progress on their goals - I hope to join you soon!!!
JulieNM - I am very taken with your master plan; the logic appeals to me (also, your post signature made me laugh)
I resolve to try and work on one of my UFOs today...
Happy Quilting to all
