I printed the recipe too. About chocolate chips. I buy Tony's Chocolonely big bars
and break it up for chips. The bars have assorted ingredients like pretzels, toffee, honey, almond, dark, white or milk chocolate and of course plain. The bars are great for cookies.
Good idea. I'll have to look for those in the store. I looked at the price of chocolate chips just yesterday...$10.99 for an average sized bag. (Is anyone else seeing these kinds of prices where they live, or is this just California's high cost of living?) I refused to buy them. Instead, I went to the $ store and picked up a couple of candy bars... Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and a Snickers Bar for the cookies...$3 total. I'll chop them up and add them to the dough. It's supposed to rain all day here, so it the perfect day to make these cookies.
