My granddaughter bought an inexpensive Janome in November. I gave her most of my stash, threads, needles, scissors, etc. She is loving everything about sewing. She doesn’t quilt. But she makes pot holders, a mattress cover, pillow covers, etc. No pattern for anything. She just thinks about it and gets to working on it. She said she is going to make her son's school pants when he starts school in August. I have no doubt about that. I’d give her all my stash but she said she is full of fabric. I think that since she hasn’t needed to buy any fabric, she can do trial and error. I’m so proud of her. I do miss quilting but I can’t do it anymore.
