My February number is complete! The pattern is
Mathemagical, a free pattern that looks great with any fabric collection. I’ve had some Australian-themed fabrics sitting around in a drawer for an unbelievable number of years, and I used them here. For the back, I used a large piece of the remaining Aussie fabric, emblazoned with suns and kangaroos, and strips of anything sandy-colored.
Thing is… I had to buy a few more fat quarters to supplement the ones I had to have enough for this pattern and, well, I ended up with enough to make two of these. I have a friend with two sons, and I might make a companion quilt with the other FQ’s and different colored borders. This was so fun and easy to make.
My March number is a baby quilt that’s already almost complete, so I’m
almost back on track!
