Pre-Covid, I was visiting my sisters. After supper, we were all relaxing and I glanced around the room. They were both on their tablets--looking at Pinterest. I tried it for a while and realized it was a huge rabbit hole that I just did not need. I love the -Pinterest and -ai features on Mr. Google. About the only time I don't mind the AI feature on Google is when I'm looking up a crossword clue.
It seems these days, every site has a 'We'd like to send you notifications' tab, which I find very annoying. The worst was a site that immediately sent me multiple notifications just because I had clicked on one of their products. Thank goodness it had an 'unsubscribe' tab too.
I've even unsubscribed from a few of my regular and favourite sites because a lot of content seems to repeat on a regular basis and for one especially, the site now insists on my supplying much more info than my email--just to download a 'free' pattern. Sorry, not happening.
