You're not alone.
I still love looking through Pinterest, and Youtube, and various quilting websites because it's fun - it's like a virtual quilt show, or art show.
But I've also made a physical list in a notebook of the quilts and projects I REALLY want to make, including notes on which fabrics I've earmarked for them. And of the 20 or so projects on that list, about half of them have been kicking around in my mind for years. So I'm making those projects my priority and have even started to cut out fabric to make my own kits to have ready to go.
Like I said, I truly LOVE being able to google all kinds of stuff, and seeing new ideas, and trends, and getting ideas for colour combinations. But I've also gotten very good at being honest with myself. When I ask myself - "Does this idea spark joy and make me want to cut into my favourite fabrics to make it? Or is it just another pretty quilt that is fun to look at?" - I'm able to be honest with myself now. And I enjoy the eye candy for what it is without bothering to save the pattern or bookmark the link.
