Been working on the first Boom 33 set of blocks. Trying to find a red that works with all the blocks. I think I found one.

Found out an hour ago that my older cousin has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Not good. I feel so sad as he’s the only cousin with whom I’m in touch and he’s one of the kindest, loveliest and jovial people you’d ever meet. I hope something can be done for him.

Off to the sewing room to cut the sashings.
So Sorry to hear about your cousin, many prayers being sent.

We recently moved out of our 900 sq ft 1928 home that we remodeled. Let me just say… remodeling is something I will never do again 😅—but it was definitely an experience I’m glad we had. Now we’re in about 1,700 sq ft and honestly feel like we’re living in a mansion! The dogs are especially thrilled with the huge yard 🐶🌿

And because life likes to keep things interesting… yesterday I somehow managed to give myself a papercut on my right eyeball 🤦‍♀️ Yes… you read that right. Pulled a ledger-sized sheet from the printer and it flipped right into my eye. Seeing a specialist tomorrow, so say a little prayer for me!

On a happier note, the weather here has been beautiful—high 90s yesterday and today ☀️ Hoping to finally get my garden in the ground this weekend. My sister has everything started in her greenhouse, so I’ve got a great head start 🌱

Hope everyone is doing well! I’ve missed being on here and can’t wait for the next BOOM 💥🧵
sorry to hear about your eye, hope it doesn't hurt too bad. wishing a speedy recovery.

My DH has been riding a motorcycle for over 40 years. When we first married and had kids, every time he got a bigger motorcycle I got an extra $100,000 of life insurance. He has very quick reaction times and always wears a helmet and leathers but at 67 I wish he’d give it up. He still rides maybe once a week.

We are on our ‘third’ summer this year. We are going to be in the high 70s today. I hope to get some exercise in and finish the top of my grandson’s quilt today. Then the basting and quilting will take another 8 hours. I usually do a lot of FMQ on the tops.

I hope everyone is enjoying great spring weather!

Do we have a date for the next boom?
Can't wait to see this quilt finished. The blocks were so unique.

I just signed up and sent my information.

It is nice here today, so I am going out to clean off my patio.
