Some years ago
@Macybaby shared her rendering of this design. I received her permission to use it, but did leave out a thin “sashing” strip. I called mine Jewelled Hearts as I love the way the batiks kind of glow with the mottled grey/black background.
I machine quilted in the ditch and about 3/8” away in black around the blocks and then hand quilted a grid in lime green thread on the hearts. I used a variegated blue/purple pearl cotton to big stitch a stencil design in the setting triangles.
My photo shows it on a queen sized bed, so it will be a perfect cuddle size.
