Today we were heading straight into a nasty storm and dh pulled over to see how bad it was looking on the weather map and he said it wasn’t looking good. Did I have any place I wanted to check out? Well guess what we were 20 minutes from Missouri Star quilt shop.I only went to one of their many shops. It was great, only a few customers, not the 6 bus loads that were there when I went the last time. Found some children’s fabric and a template that I am hoping to use on the Christmas fabric for this boom. Very glad to be home and sleep in my own bed
Glad you had a safe trip and what a wonderful side trip.

My broken humerus is healing very well (with out surgery 😊

but still have another month to go with brace. No sewing or crafting here. And I refuse to even look at patterns and fabric online.
I will be lurking as I already can visualize what I would make with your fabric!
So glad you are healing and you feel good. You will be back before you know it.

Some day soon I will split the blocks and make her and I a special lap quilt ... filled with love a d memories of Dad.
A quilt is a wonderful memory for you and your sister. I love to make memory quilts.

What a mess (& challenge) it was to correct my many seams. I know on this one, I will lose some "points" when joining this block to others but after soooooo many years of not sewing blocks, I'll take this one for the win. I have another one cut with reversed orange and blue spots. Sweet hubby, Charles, cut them out for me using the Accuquilt Ohio Star die. It's allllll a big learning curve again.
Then when I wanted to take photo, suddenly I had extra critics! Tee Bee is our indoor/outdoor rotten cat that adopted us about 4 summers ago.
This is a beautiful block and a beautiful quilt critic.

Glad you are safely home, Terri. How fun that the weather drove you into Missouri Star! Your hubby is a real sport.
Glad to hear little Ernie is doing better. I had one doggie that lived to 19!
This is such a sweet idea. Love it.
Today I made a block for my own quilt...
Beautiful block, I will have to get my fabric out and make me some blocks.
