Here's a sample I made up using scraps.

The squares were 10", sewn together as QuiltE suggested, then cut off 2.5" strips and pieced in 1.5" off-white strips to finish at 1".

Then turn, rinse and repeat. Finished block measures 21+3/4" square. It would make a super fast and easy quilt.

I think the white strips are too wide. Do you think the white strips are half the width I did, 1/2" finished? Or do you think it's more like 3/4"?

I think the remaining measurements look good. Thoughts?
