It was a small block that I enlarged each piece to get to 12.5 square. Surprisingly it went together great. In the amall squares you can see where I flipped the orange and used the backside of it. Now that I know my measurements are correct, I plan to cut out a Boom fabric using this pattern

Moon, great practice block. I wish I could resize a block like you do. What is the secret?
I have an AccuQuilt cutter and took a class for Grids & Conversions. Basically, if it's a 6" block, I increased each component to a corresponding size --- from a 6" Qube cutting to a 12" Qube cutting guide. Confusing ... yes, but it made sense and actually worked. The practice block had 6 columns ... so that meant each column had to be 2.5" to get to 12.5 unfinished size ... from there it was working backwards to get the sizes for each block component. Hope this somewhat makes sense.
