Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and everyone who has/had a mother! This is the first time in about five years that my daughter has been in town on Mother's Day. She's just here from Dallas for a few days to look for an apartment for when she moves back to Seattle in July. I always tease that she's an expensive visitor and that is still true. We went to Costco together and she threw all kinds of things in the cart "to try." I told her she better have room in her suitcase to take all that junky food back with her. Ha ha!
I've been super busy at work so haven't had much time to sew and probably won't get any sewing in while my daughter is here. I took my Featherweight in for service because I tried to replace the belt, couldn't get it tight enough, and was having some tension issues too so decided time for a visit to the professional. There's a retired guy from the sewing machine shop that lives about 10 minutes from me who services machines part time, like when he feels like it. I was okay with that because I only use the FW for sew days, etc. and I have other machines. But he called the very next day and said it was ready. That was a pleasant surprise. The place where I take my Bernina to be serviced is so busy all the time that it usually takes 4-6 weeks to get the machine back.
Hope everyone is enjoying a nice day. I can't believe it's May 10th already! The days are flying by.
