I am very hard headed and hardly ever follow recommendations, but this time I did. I protected the walls with newspaper. Using masking tape I taped the top of my backing to the wall, making sure it was straight and wrinkle free. I then sprayed the backing with basting spray and covered it with the batting, smoothing it with my hands. Spray again and covred with the top of the quilt. Doing a lot of smoothing with my hands and placing pins to make sure it holds in place. It was hanging from the wall and I was afraid the glue would not hold, so I pinned it a little. The quilt was a little longer than I could reach, so once all I could reach was secured, I folded up a little to have the bottom hanging on the wall, and did it again for the lower part of the quilt. It was very easy and my back and knees were very happy.
