I will soon be faced with quilting a top with lots of close and overlaping seams. Any tips?
I had to slow it down some and I wound up using a Jeans needle. Batiks can be a bit difficult on their own but add in the amount of bulk from the seams and the Quilting and Sharp needles weren't cuttin it. The thread kept breaking. I also wound up using Isocord thread in the top and Bottom Line thread in the bobbin. They were strong enough for the abuse LOL. I also avoided the very worst of the bulk that was right in the dead center where so many segments met. It was colorful enough that it wasn't noticable.
