I love the pattern and think it would look great as a scrappy quilt. You can do a scrappy quilt with any and every scrap fabric or you can be a little more choosey and control the colors you use. I love scrappy, but I like to control the colors. I'll go with blue scrappy and use every shade of blue I can find, or reds or greens, etc. The key to success with one color scrappy quilts is to use a wide variety of shades and patterns, plaids, strips, florals, and all variations of the color - like with blues, I'll use aqua, navy, royal, purpleish blue, etc. Sometimes I will make a controlled scrappy with two or three colors. I recently made one with blues, greens and purples. You can pick any colors that are next to each other on the color wheel, like yellow, orange, red, burgundy, or maybe yellow, lime green, green, bluegreen, blue, etc. For myself, I like the controlled color schemes better than all over scrappy, but quilts made with everything but the kitchen sink are also really pretty.
