We all share the need to pin our quilts at times when we are sewing them. Sometimes we need lots of pins and sometimes not that many. There has always been a problem of having to stop and remove the pins before you run over them. Well, I have come up with an ingenious solution to the running over the straight pins problem.

I line my straight pins (I use the ones with the round flat yellow heads on them) up about 1 1/2 inches from the edge where I am sewing. No more worry about running over them while I am sewing and it holds my work perfectly steady and in place .
