Hi Gena: Welcome to the board. I'm sure you will find it to be a broad learning experience. I raid my mom's stash all of the time. But then she expects me to use what I take. That can be a problem as sometimes, I just want to look at her fabric on my shelf. She now comes to my stash for the same reasons. I wonder what she could possibly need with fabric from my stash, she says that she just wants to look at her old fabric for awhile. Hey wait, didn't I buy that fabric? Who knows. Enjoy quilting with your mom, it will be a great bonding experience for both of you. I can't wait for my daughter to express an interest.
