This is unusual for the company, so I hope you can get it worked out. I order from them at least once a month and have never had an unsatisfactory experience. They've sent the wrong item on occasion and then told me to keep it after sending the correct thing. Always a few inches more than a yard -- even after washing, the flannel is an adequate length.
