i like them both, too. the "something wrong" with #1 is that you laid out two of the triangles upside down (last one, right end, rows 1 and 3 from the top.) took me forever to figure it out.

i would probably do #2, then make #1 using two different "busy" fabrics for the pinwheels. BUT your version of #1 is the better of the two. fascinating, in fact, since it does turn into several different quilts depending on where your eye starts. #2 is just one quilt. why make one when you can make three or four in one? :wink: :lol: :lol:
