Don't dispare, jolo, the first one I did took me nearly 2 hours, and I was ready to throw it into the back garden more than once. I was really trying to use pieces that were the same size as the section on the paper, with the quarter inch added on - wrong! I couldn't get any of them to fit! I captulated, and now I cut all the pieces at least half an inch all around, and rarely have to redo a section. It seems very wasteful, but I have done 125 blocks so far, and only used 4 yards of muslin background, so it doesn't seem so wasteful after all. The next learning curve is how to place a triangle on the back, so that when you flip it, it ends up in the right place. Believe me, it comes with practice. Don't give in just yet.
