Here is a BOM for May, that i thought we could try. It looks easy and beautiful. I'm just a beginner quilter, but i'm sure i can offer this...go easy on me :)

http://www.compuquilt.com/blockimg/2005Blocks/Buttercup.htm

This is a flower block, done log cabin style, from compu quilt. It is presented as a 6" paper-pieced block. Our BOM's are 12" blocks...so...if you like you can make four 6" blocks, to make a 12" block, and that would be very pretty.

Another way would be to make the whole pattern larger, to make one 12" block, that would be really nice too.

This is a paper-pieced pattern. To get the paper-pieced pattern, click on the link above, then click on the word "templates". :)

I will also give directions below, in a few mins, how to make this pattern without paper-piecing. Have fun everyone :)
