What I did this time around was take a yard of fabric, cut it into four 1/4 yd. pieces, then cut down the "fold" (lengthwise center) of the fabric. That gave me 8 F8's. They should measure about 9" x 22". (ladies, correct me if I'm wrong here, please?)

if you received 2 fat 16ths would you prefer they be the same fabric or 2 different fabrics?
Just curious so I know how to figure it out. I also googled what are the measurements of a fat eighth and they are 11x18 according to this website I found

As for me, Tink, I would not care necessarily if both pieces were the same or different. Depending on what I received, it would help me to determine what pattern I would use...
