I have started signing mine and I'm using the Pigma Micron that Norbana and others are using.
I am heat setting mine also. I don't know that it is necessary but it makes me feel better.
I use the same pen, and it is necessary to heat set it. I place a scrap of my white material over the writing and heat, on cotton, for ten seconds. You try your pen on a scrap of the white you are using, then heat set one sample and leave one sample as is. Wash it and see what happens. Mine set well at 10 seconds, at 15 seconds it was the same, but I don't want to scorch it.
