Hi and another welcome from Washington State. Our baby, who is almost 35 now and has been on his own since he was 18 and went off to college, he still brings home his mending. I just repaired a pocket on his blue jeans and hemmed a pair of jeans yesterday for our son. No matter what their age, we will always be parents. Even our neighbor who will be 102 in April still refers to her son, who is 68, as "my boy". Good luck with your sewing venture. I do a little altering from time to time for folks too. I'm always amazed how many people who do not sew or even mend now days especially. In these 'interesting' economic times I think there will be more call to make do and make clothes last as long as possible.
