Make a diagram with each block colored in with crayon or colored pencil. Then follow it very closely!! When a block is finished, immediately pin a note to it with row and block number (i.e. row 3, 4th block). Then lay it out on a design wall or bed before sewing blocks together and double check all the tabs. I thought I was being so careful, but still made mistakes. I thought I had fixed all the wrong "tabs" and sewed it together and a friend spotted another wrong one after it was all sewn together!! I found really cute fabric with puzzle pieces for the back. I just need to get it quilted!
