Nope, not for me. I go there to get my quilt motivation, my shopping, my quilt time. I drive there about 5 hours away, I park the car at Hancock's and stop by every so often to put my packages in the trunk. I ride the shuttles to every quilting stop. When I'm ready I go to the motel for the night. If you have the chance to go, GO! One day I might not be able to drive or walk all day, or have the means to go so I'm going while I can. I don't want to look back and say why didn't I do that when I could.
My husband loves watching me be happy. he likes going to quilt shows and looking in amazement at all the hard work people do. I am 37 and he is 41 and it's funny to see the seasoned quilters talk as we pass by. My hubby always wears camo and sticks out, too funny. But we have a BALL! And other than planning meals and/or snacks (he is newly diabetic) he won't be any trouble. i already told him how much I plan to spend, and I am sure he is doubling that in his mind! LOL he is also VERY handy at carrying things.
