Before I moved, I had a "den" that I used for sewing and piecing, and a "spare bedroom" that had my mid-arm in it.
I had a small design wall in the den about a good lap size, and a large one in the quilter room about California King size.
The king size one was the very first thing I made on my NewJoy/Brother 1500S system when I got it, and was a real 3-layer/batting quilt. It was Flannel on both sides, in a "doggy paw print" with 2" grid lines already printed on it! How useful is that. Made easy to get everything straight. And had long strips of lathing in top and bottom to keep it really square and flat.
The smaller one was also a real quilt, out of plain muslin/batting, and hung of course in a smaller space.
I don't have space for either of them here, but I still have them. When I was using them, it was fabulous.
It will be again!
