Have to share this comment with all of you who have posted. Can you believe, that one of the first people I showed the complete quilt to, informed me that it was NOT a real quilt because of the embroidery work on it. By then I knew I was talking to a judgemental scrooge as back when I started this quilt top, many ladies were making embroidery squares to eventually turn into a quilt. Perhaps such weren't as common as scratch quilts but then when I started this, the area we lived in was in a quilters blight anyway. Now everyone who sees it raves about it. I'm just thrilled it is no longer a UFO and that I learned enough to finish it up. Thank you everyone for being interested in this quilt.
