My 1930 and 1937 machines in the original cabinets also have laminate. I thought when I bought them that they didn't use laminate that early, but they did. In fact a "Vintage Sewing Machine Group" which I also belong to tells you how to restore the laminate on the cabinets, which I need to do on one.
