When I was little, I would not touch coliflower. Wouldn't taste it, wouldn't hardly look at it. Why, you might ask. One of my older brothers told me it wasn't really a vegetable, but a brain! I was much older before I got that image out of my head. Now I love it cooked or raw. When my mom served something new, we had to try it, but were never forced to eat something we really didn't like. My mom hated oatmeal and was forced to eat it every morning, so she always swore she would never do that to us and she didn't. Yes, we ate what was on the table, but she really tried to make stuff that everyone could at least tolerate. But then none of us were really picky eaters, either.
