I would have bought it anyway, you can hardly kill a treadle machine. I have had them locked up tighter than a drum and I am using the machine on a regular basis now. And unless you are sewing 1/4" steel plate you can almost be certain it will never get out of time.

The cabinet was a mess and I had no place to store it, it needed a belt, I'll find better one eventually.
