I am now exploring the idea of using a quilt frame (of some variety) that will allow me to get my 3 layers together without a lot of wrinkles
If you have a high-speed Internet connection, you can go to www.thequiltshow.com & watch the first "The Quilt Show" with Alex Anderson & Ricky Tims. It is free (this first one), & one of their guests is Joe Cunningham & he shows how to make an old fashioned, simple quilt frame using 1"X2"s & C-clamps. They said that you can use it for basting, with thread or pins, as well as hand quilting. It did look easy to me!
